A Harley In the Dakar, You Jest?
The Dakar is regarded as one of the most gruelling motorcycle races in the world, to enter requires a sizable amount of dollars, determination and some good support.

Undeterred by these prospects, two passionate motorcycle riders are looking to compete in the legendry 18 day
Paris-Dakar race next year (starts January the 1st).

Ok you say, so!

Well these two want to compete against the might of KTMs, Kawasaki and BMWs riding on a
Harley Davidson ! And not just any kind of Harley, a V-Rod with a sidecar !!

All jokes aside about riding Harleys, the V-Rod has some pretty interesting technology and I’m sure there are some Harley fans that would just love to see some dudes take on the status quo. These guys have taken the challenge seriously and have been developing, training and racing for many years, but have never ridden the Dakar on a motorcycle.

The bigger challenge facing them currently is that running the Dakar race is EXPENSIVE. What used to be a race for amateurs has now turned in to a highly polished, professional, race. And to compete in it, you need money, a lot of money!

So the American driver
Scott Whitney, and his Dakar experinced Belgium passenger Udo Dederichs are looking to top of their sponsorship money. So if you're a Harley fan or some corporate mogul looking for some high exposure publicity, contact them (see web link below).

But their biggest problem is that they need the bucks ASAP. If these guys are silly enough to give this a go, then we'll give them some of our web white space to asist their cause.
