AFXC Heads Back To Wakefield Park Raceway In Early September
Hello everyone,
The fourth round of the televised 2010 Australian Formula Xtreme Championship is at Wakefield Park Raceway in just five weeks time on the 11th and 12th of September. For any racers information, our events are not restricted to racers who have competed in previous rounds of the series. We invite all racers who have an eligible bike to race in our events even if it is a one off.
Check out the classes of racing below and if your bike is eligible to enter one of the classes we would like to invite you to race at Wakefield Park Raceway on the 11th and 12th of September, the next motorcycle race meeting after the fourth round is at the Eastern Creek in late October. All of our race meetings are open to all grades of competitors and we point score all classes by their grades.
Updated Control Tyre Rules In The FX1000 & FX600 Classes
As most would know we are going through the process of updating the control tyre rules and penalties for both the FX1000 & FX600 classes at present. I had hoped to have these rules sorted out by now but this isn’t the case. The rules in the latest Series Sup Regs for this round have been updated but these are likely not to be the final rules that the Wakefield round will be run under. As soon as this is sorted we will SMS and email all riders and teams in these two classes to let them know what the new rules will be. I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to write in with comment on the website, as I work my way through this all I will put forward a draft set of tyre rules and penalties for comment on the website.
What track time will you get at the Wakefield Park AFXC Round?
First off you can race either Saturday or Sunday or both days. If you enter both the Saturday (FX Nationals) and Sunday (AFXC) you will have six (6) races over the two days, and both days receive their own points and trophies. You don’t have to do both days though and you have a choice; you can enter either Saturday or Sunday or both days, as Saturday and Sunday have their own qualifying sessions and as such are separate race meetings. If you’re not sure how this works or which day you would like to enter please give me a call.
If you enjoy the friendly easy going approach of club racing then you will enjoy the AFXC, we are proud of how our race meetings are run and are always trying to improve the already high enjoyment levels and value for money that racers get at our events. You will see for yourself that we have put together a big weekend of racing that caters for everyone from D graders to factory teams. Everyone gets treated the same and receives the same huge amount of track time.
For your information at all rounds there will also be a Friday practice day available for those wanting extra track time. Limited camping spots will be available at Wakefield Park please check the updated Series Sup Regs included with this Newsletter to keep up to speed on the race meeting visit the website, www.aus-superbikes.com.au
All classes at the AFXC Sunday series will be televised; this includes the following classes that are open to all grades including A,B,C and D grade riders. As we said our events are quite aimed at all levels of riders and everyone gets treated the same.
