 | From ARTRP: AASA National Open Competition Licence Fees Announced
Australian Road & Track Rider Promotions has been notified by the AASA of their new Motorcycle Competition licence Fee structure for 2010.
Competitors will be able to purchase an annual AASA National Open Motorcycle competition licence for $190.00 inc gst.
Application forms will be available late next week as a download on this website or can be posted out to competitors if requested.
If a competitor already has a current $50 annual AASA track licence that is usually purchased from either Wakefield Park or Winton Raceway for Ride or Practice days then the $50 fee already paid will be credited off of the $190.00 when taking out the full AASA competition licence.
In another cost saving exercise for competitors it will not be mandatory to join a club and pay club fees to be able to get a AASA competition licence, which is potential another saving of up to $50 plus depending on what each club charges.
As has already been announced the AASA competitor licence is an option not a requirement, MA licences will still be accepted at all AASA sanctioned events such as the eight combined rounds of the Australian Formula Xtreme Championship series and the 2010 Summer Australasian FX Superbike Championship series.
Both series in 2010 will compete at Winton International Raceway, Wakefield Park Raceway and Eastern Creek International Raceway.
If compared to a MA National licence and what most clubs charge as an annual fee then the new AASA licence structure will potentially save competitors planning on focussing on the two Formula Xtreme based series in 2010 an average of 30% in licensing fees per rider.
Further important information will be released next week as it comes to hand from the AASA.
