 We recognise that many competitors try very hard to raise their profiles by any legal means possible, one of the most popular ways is by having a team Umbrella girl to assist them in getting noticed, so to speak.
As an additional promotional opportunity for competitors in the 2010 Australian Formula Xtreme Championship Series there will be a televised 'Most Popular Grid Girl Contest' at each of the Sunday rounds of the series.
All umbrella girls can register at the Race Secretaries office at each event to be voted on by all participants and spectators as the 'Most Popular Grid Girl' at each event.
The most voted for three Grid Girls at each round will receive a trophy for being judged as 'Most Popular' while all contestants as well as the top three competitors will be shown both in the SBS Speedweek and Fox Sports TV coverage.
There will several restrictions for ladies wishing to take part in this including age and dress restrictions, the aim is to keep this both tasteful and elegant.
